Cole just happened to be in that pub when Phoebe walks in. He noticed her from the start watching as she orders something he knows it not normal for her. Speaking with a waitress, "When that lady I ready for her second round. Please place it on my tab and tell her who its from."
When Phoebe ordered her second martini, the waitress did as asked. Phoebe looked over and that's when she saw him. She told the waitress to bring it to her at his table.
Phoebe got up and walked over. "You...you didn't have to buy my refill," she said, though how well Cole knew her, he would be able to tell, even if not for the martinis, something was wrong.
